Four stars: I enjoyed this book and will read it until its spine complains.

Three stars: A flawed but interesting read. Satisfactory, if not thrilling.

Two stars: I could finish it, but not for me. Others might enjoy it.

One star: If I owned this book, I don’t anymore. WHERE ARE MY DRAGONS?

Zero stars: This isn’t the book you’re looking for. It does not exist. I never read it.

Review Style: Concise | Recommendation-oriented | Snappy

Goodreads?: Yes.

I will happily accept print and audio copies of books to review. I have a very large pile of books to get through, so please understand that I will get to them as soon as I can with ARCs receiving a priority. Also keep in mind that I will always give my honest opinion in reviews including the parts and pieces that I loved and/or hated.

Favorite Genres:

  • YA romance
  • New Adult
  • Dystopian
  • Fantasy

Genres I Won’t Review:

  • Historical Fiction (However, I may make exceptions for some who mix genres.)

How I Rate:

I use two different pieces to decide my rating and reviews for a novel. First is my personal enjoyment, which includes: number of errors, storyline, character relatability and how it kept my attention. Secondly, I look at how easily it can be recommended. What age groups would it be appropriate for? Does it appeal to both sexes? How would it appeal to reluctant readers?

Five stars:  Amazing. Couldn’t put it down. Would recommend to pretty much everyone.

Four stars: Some flaws, but well written. Would recommend to a lot of people.

Three stars: Was okay. Would recommend to a small group of people.

Two stars: Meh *Shoulder Shrugs* I guess a few people would like it.

One star: Barely made it through. Unless you’ve run out of other better books I wouldn’t waste your time.

Review Style: Succinct | Fun | Considerate

For now, I’m only accepting physical copies of books, because ebooks are too much of a hassle. This may change later. All reviews reflect my honest opinions on the book.

Two stars: It was okay, but needs improvement.

One star: I didn’t like it. At all. Possible DNF.

I primarily review young adult and middle grade titles, however I am open to reviewing adult and new adult titles if they pique my interest. I do not review non-fiction books. I will happily accept ARCs, galleys, and finished copies for review. Print format is preferred, though I can also accept ebooks (kindle or .ePub format).
